Exceptional Article:
The Somme Marathon should be viewed as a charity race and runners are encouraged to use our sponsor form to collect money for our charity. This year we hope to buy and train a gude dog for the blind. They should get their friends, family, colleagues to sponsor them for the distance they are running....
In 2010 we will be collecting cash donations before the race during the enrolment procedure. See 'run for a good cause'.
It will also be possible to leave a donation in the marathon vilage during the day. All money collected will go directly to our charity.
