PolioPlus – Rotary International (Péronne Branch)

The Rotary Club supports a programme that is determined to eradicate polio from the face of the earth. The man who brought us the polio vaccine (Albert SABIN) was indeed a Rotarian so it is fitting that they should put their weight behind such a mammoth effort.

Handi Cap Evasion

Thanks to Handicap Evasion a large number of physically handicapped people can enjoy mountain bike rides and holidays in mountainous areas with spectacular scenery. This is possible because the joëlette is used with two people on board. This is a bicycle-cum-wheelchair allowing the handicapped person to be mobile as his/her partner cycles to take the two of them up and down hill and vale. It is an enjoyable moment, where sharing and compassion are the order of the day.
